As an Accountant, you’ll be a key contributor to the financial success! Working closely with the Finance Manager, you’ll leverage your accounting expertise and financial software skills to meticulously handle the daily financial operations.   • Minimum bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
  • Professional Accounting qualification (Chartered Accountant -MIA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA or similar.
  • At least 4 years of experience in the UAE performing similar accounting tasks.
  • Proven experience in audit, with a preference for those with Big 4 experience.
  • Prior experience in the real estate industry is a plus.
  • A strong track record of delivering monthly financial reports.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Personal integrity and strong work-ethic
  • Excellent understanding of IFRS
  • Experience in financial software applications i.e. QuickBooks, Odoo
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with financial audits would be an advantage

Financial Reporting and Accounting:

  • Produce accurate and timely financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. This includes income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Adhere to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) to ensure transparency and consistency in financial reporting.
  • Maintain meticulous accounting records, including posting journal entries and reconciling accounts for accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations, petty cash reports, and prepare summaries of directors’ expenses.
  • Organize and maintain financial records and documentation within designated filing systems for easy retrieval and audit purposes.
  • Analyze financial data to gain insights and assist in the development of accurate and effective budgets.

Audit and Compliance:

  • Handle Value Added Tax (VAT) compliance, including preparing and filing VAT returns.
  • Assist with corporate tax preparation to ensure accurate and timely filing.
  • Support both internal and external audits, providing necessary assistance and documentation.
  • Prepare audit schedules and documents in a clear and organized manner to facilitate the external audit process.
  • Maintain compliance with Economic Substance Reporting (ESR) regulations.
  • Guarantee adherence to annual license renewals and filing requirements for all group entities.

Property Management Accounting:

  • Manage real estate income, including monitoring and recording rental income from the portfolio.
  • Oversee property expenses, ensuring timely payments for utility bills, service charges, and other related costs.
  • Maintain a comprehensive real estate asset register for accurate tracking and recordkeeping.
  • Reconcile rental remittances, promptly identifying and reporting any discrepancies to ensure proper collection.
  • Prepare property performance reports, including individual profit and loss statements for each property.
  • Monitor and manage installment payments associated with property acquisitions (if applicable).

Cash Management and Treasury:

  • Manage vendor payments, ensuring timely settlements for utility bills, service charges, and other expenses.
  • Maintain accurate accounts payable and receivable, guaranteeing on-time payments to vendors and collecting dues from clients.
  • Reconcile bank statements to ensure financial accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  • Prepare monthly petty cash reports detailing inflows, outflows, and remaining cash balance.
  • Develop cash flow forecasts to predict future cash needs and optimize financial planning.

General Administration:

  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Reconcile and adjust monthly mobile phone statements for employees.
  • Manage and respond to corporate email inquiries related to finance.
  • Maintain and update financial records within designated shared drives.
  • Communicate effectively with external vendors and partners on financial matters.
