Job Title: Senior Actuarial Manager
Location: Doha, Qatar
Skills, Qualification & Experience:
- Degree in Mathematics
- Possess an Actuarial qualification (FIA or equivalent) with a minimum of 10 years of experience (including 5 years post-qualification)
- Broad experience in general insurance actuarial tasks, including reserving, pricing, and capital modeling.
- Familiarity with IFRS-17 standards.
- Proficient in IT.
Job Responsibilities:
- Progress gradually in onboarding all responsibilities and roles, starting with the most critical ones.
- Cultivate and strengthen the Group actuarial team and establish robust relationships with key stakeholders, including Management, Finance, Underwriting, and Claims departments.
- Ensure the maintenance, development, and implementation of systems, data, services, and technical standards.
- Contribute insights to multi-disciplinary projects.
- Maintain and adhere to the Personal Performance and Development Plan (PPDP) and Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Cultivate a positive image both internally and externally within the business.
- Regularly attend and actively contribute to appointed committee meetings.
- Provide clear direction, set goals and targets, and offer constructive feedback to team members.
- Align the personal objectives of team members with the company’s goals.
- Foster collaboration among teams and promote an open communication culture.
- Demonstrate leadership behavior to shape the team’s culture.
- Establish and execute the annual performance review process, including objective development and individual development plans for team members.
- Support the team in identifying and addressing performance gaps, career aspirations, and strategies for retaining key talent.
- Ensure team members’ compliance with regulatory activities and company policies and procedures.
