We are looking to connect with individuals interested in the position of an ‘Actuary’ within the insurance industry in Abu Dhabi.

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐧-𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲.

𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 & 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞
• At least 3 years of experience in a senior or mid-senior actuarial position, with a preference for experience in the UAE.
• Proficient in both written and verbal communication.
• Holds a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or statistics.

𝐉𝐨𝐛 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬
• Collaborate with external actuaries on routine tasks such as quarterly reserving, pricing, and underwriting review.
• Compile reserving data and actively contribute to all aspects of IFRS 17 calculations and reporting.
• Regularly review and monitor IFRS 17 portfolio groupings.
• Provide ongoing support to the risk management department, ensuring the timely implementation of CBUAE requirements in accordance with the latest Risk Management and Internal Controls regulations and standards, as well as other relevant instructions.
• Assist the reinsurance department in evaluating reinsurance arrangements to ensure adequacy and optimize reinsurance as needed.
• Aid in preparing necessary documentation and collaborate with the finance department during external audits, responding to actuarial queries and clarification requests.
• Support underwriting departments in the development and pricing of new products.
• Offer guidance and assistance to underwriting departments in all actuarial aspects.
• Prepare and analyze performance reports for management and the Audit Committee.
• Conduct in-depth analysis and monitoring of claims trends and underwriting performance, reporting any potential risks and negative indicators to management.
• Analyze and monitor investment strategies, capital requirements, and solvency positions, including conducting stress tests and regularly reporting prospective results and deficiencies to management
