The General Claims Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the claims process, ensuring efficient handling, investigation, and settlement of claims in line with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. This role involves leading the claims team, optimizing processes, minimizing fraudulent activities, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction

- Bachelorβs degree in insurance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in insurance claims, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
- Knowledge of insurance policies, claims processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Preferably with ACII

CLAIMS MANAGEMENT
- Oversee end-to-end claims processing, from initial reporting to final settlement.
- Ensure claims are handled efficiently, fairly, and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Review complex or high-value claims and make recommendations for approvals or escalations.
- Implement strategies to reduce claims leakage and enhance operational efficiency
TEAM LEADERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT
- Lead and mentor the claims team, providing training and professional development.
- Set performance targets and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and customer-centric service.
CUSTOMER & STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
- Address escalated claims disputes and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain strong relationships with brokers, policyholders, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure excellent customer service and timely communication throughout the claims process.
FRAUD PREVENTION AND RISK MANAGEMENT
- Develop and implement strategies to detect and prevent fraudulent claims.
- Collaborate with legal, underwriting, and risk management teams to assess and mitigate risks.
- Ensure proper documentation and investigation of suspicious claims.
REGULATORY COMPLIANCE & REPORTING
- Ensure adherence to local insurance regulations and company policies.
- Prepare and present claims reports to senior management, highlighting trends and key insights.
- Coordinate with auditors and regulatory bodies as needed
