One of our clients is looking for a ‘Head of IT – Insurance Industry’ for their Muscat Office

QUALIFICATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

· A degree in Computer Science or Engineering.

· More than 10 years of experience in IT environments within Insurance Companies.

· Proficiency in working with Core Insurance platforms, including Life and General Insurance.

· Strong knowledge of IT and General Insurance products.

· Demonstrated expertise in vendor management.

· Proven experience in providing IT solutions for the insurance industry.

· Desirable certifications like PMP, ITIL, SCRUM, or equivalent.

· Expertise in managing IT infrastructure, IT security, databases, and networks.

· Experience in developing and executing IT strategies tailored for insurance companies.

· Proficiency in managing in-house teams and outsourced services.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Proficient in managing and retiring outdated systems.

· Skilled in overseeing the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and implementing essential solutions tailored for an insurance company.

· Provide visionary leadership in the technology portfolio to foster both enablement and innovation.

· Efficiently manage a portfolio of technology projects, ensuring they align with cost, scope, and schedule parameters.

· Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to meet stakeholder requirements.

· Formulate internal IT operation policies aimed at achieving SLAs.

· Assume responsibility for delivering software and hardware projects, collaborating with vendors to ensure solution delivery.

· Create data analysis stacks.

· Devise cutting-edge solution roadmaps.

· Innovate and develop agile solutions for small-ticket products within tight timelines.

· Drive innovation for core business operations by recommending viable technologies.

· Identify and oversee external vendors involved in contracted work.

· Oversee IT infrastructure, network, database, and security for the organization.

· Lead the selection, enhancement, and maintenance of systems supporting insurance business operations.

· Provide input to compliance, auditing, and risk management functions.
