1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
2. Extensive experience in medical underwriting within the insurance industry.
3. In-depth knowledge of medical underwriting principles, healthcare procedures, and insurance regulations.
4. Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with attention to detail.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
6. Familiarity with medical advancements and industry trends.
7. Leadership experience in guiding and mentoring underwriting teams

𝐉𝐎𝐁 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐈𝐁𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐄𝐒:
1. Assess and underwrite medical insurance applications, evaluating risk and determining appropriate coverage.
2. Utilize advanced knowledge of medical underwriting principles to make sound decisions on policy approvals and rejections.
3. Collaborate with internal teams, including sales and claims departments, to gather necessary information for underwriting.
4. Stay updated on medical advancements, industry regulations, and insurance policies affecting underwriting decisions.
5. Provide guidance and support to junior underwriting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
6. Conduct regular reviews of underwriting processes to identify areas for improvement and efficiency.
7. Maintain a high level of accuracy in underwriting documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
8. Act as a liaison between underwriting and other stakeholders, including brokers and clients.
9. Contribute to the development and implementation of underwriting strategies.
