One of our client is looking to hire Senior Reserving Actuary.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading insurance company in the GCC region and take ownership of Reserving & IFRS 17 processes.
Job Description:
– Lead quarterly reserving across multiple markets (personal & commercial lines, plus some long-life business)
– Prepare reserving reports, including actuarial data for IFRS 17, annual FCR, and quarterly committee packs
– Partner with Finance for reserve bookings & closings.
– Act as key contact for external actuarial consultants & auditors
– Ensure governance through reconciliations, peer reviews, and documentation
– Manage and mentor actuarial team members
– Contribute to reserving actuarial projects improving automation, granularity, and quality of outputs
– Support the Actuarial Pricing Projects
Preferences:
– Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in General Insurance (with at least 5 in Reserving)
– Strong expertise with ResQ (or similar reserving tools) IFRS 17 implementation & reporting experience
– Actuarial Associateship or Fellowship qualification
– Advanced Excel skills (coding & data visualization a plus)
– Bonus: Exposure to Life technical reserves
